It really inspired me to look at these amazing Japanese bird and insect prints. I love faded colours, very elegant…
Studying the spring /summer 2011 shows, I have noticed a trend in tassles and chain. Above clockwise is Sonia Rykiel, Oscar de la Renta, Chanel and Oscar de la Renta, all accessorizing with tassles. Below we have a very modern twist on some very vintage pieces from Trifari and Chanel… bang on trend! Find them at Nina Polli Vintage Shop.
I absolutely love these illustrations by Vic Riches! You can see more on her amazing blog, “The Scribbler“!
I love this collection (if you can get past wearing a tablecloth or net curtain)! The combination of white and gold is perfect for anyone, so pretty, elegant and cool all in one! Some examples of white and gold from Nina Polli Vintage Shop, below, including a Chanel gripoix and pearl pendant, Givenchy earings and Trifari necklace…enjoy!
These images by Richard Learoyd are produced individually without any interposing film negative, transparency or intermediate material, directly onto a sheet of positive photographic paper. With no means of reproduction, every image is entirely unique in its existence.
His photographs and particularly his images of Agnes, capture a ethereal, haunting, understated elegance. The clothes are purchased by the artist himself in local charity shops! Altogether these images inspire me more than many fashion editorials. Although completely posed there is something about them that capture a natural, uncontrived simplicty. Just beautiful!
More images from the Spring Summer 2011 Chanel collection… And below vintage Chanel, from Nina Polli Vintage Shop.
I can’t wait to post more photos of the Chanel Spring 2011 Ready to wear show, presented today in Paris! But for the moment I was captured by this red gripoix! ..In the Nina Polli Vintage shop you can find this amazing red stone gripoix necklace which I think is one of my favourite pieces. It would not have looked at all out of place on the amazing runway at Grand Palais today!
