Its time to start looking forward to balmy evenings, summer dresses, the heat of the sun and the smell of the ocean…Below are a couple of new pieces from Nina Polli Vintage, a very pretty blue enamel Givenchy bracelet and a gorgeous mother of pearl Chanel camelia pendant brooch. I never fully understood the appeal of Erin O’Connor until I watched the Chanel 4 documentary ‘This Model Life’. She has the most grace and elegance I have seen on a model and I dont think any model can show couture as she does. She reminds me of the great ballerina Sylvie Guillem, another of my favourites. I think If I were to ask her to model any of the pieces in Nina Polli Vintage, it would be the ones below… Chanel necklace bold and beautiful, just like Erin and amazing crocodile handbag.
Stunning photographs from Billy Kidd. Check out his blog here.
I found an amazing Liberty of London silk scarf, with a beautiful bird print on a champagne beige background, have a look below! You can see more of this scarf at Nina Polli Vintage shop. It really inspired me to look at these amazing Japanese bird and insect prints. I love faded colours, very elegant…
I absolutely love these illustrations by Vic Riches! You can see more on her amazing blog, “The Scribbler“!
These images by Richard Learoyd are produced individually without any interposing film negative, transparency or intermediate material, directly onto a sheet of positive photographic paper. With no means of reproduction, every image is entirely unique in its existence.
His photographs and particularly his images of Agnes, capture a ethereal, haunting, understated elegance. The clothes are purchased by the artist himself in local charity shops! Altogether these images inspire me more than many fashion editorials. Although completely posed there is something about them that capture a natural, uncontrived simplicty. Just beautiful!
